his son, Thomas, in the North  

Lancashire Reformatory.

DRUNK IN HIS OWN HOUSE

John Carr, landlord of the Fox and Grapes Inn,

Fox Street, was summoned for having been

drunk and disorderly in his own house on the

morning of the 20th inst.

Mr. Fryer, who appeared for the defence, pleaded 

guilty on behalf of the defendant, who expressed

regret at such an occurrence. He said that, up to

the present, the defendant had borne an unblemished

character, and he hoped the Bench would take that

into consideration. Fined 10s. and costs.

DEATH

KING - On the 31st ult., at the Fox and Grapes Hotel,

Fox Street, Preston, Alice, dearly beloved wife of

William H. King, and only daughter of E. and E. Wilson,

aged 23 years. Deeply regretted. RIP. 

Internment at St. Mary's, St. Michael's, Garstang,

Thursday 4th inst.
