It is my belief that the "Market Inn" was a

beerhouse trading and ASSOCIATED WITH the Spread Eagle Hotel.

It was situated at the side of the Corn Exchange,

an important market in Preston, and as a beerhouse rather than having a full license like the Spread Eagle Hotel.

Thursday 29th April.

THE whole of his FURNITURE and STOCK-IN-TRADE,

comprising the usual household appointments, a capital 

square Pianoforte by Collard and Collard, Bagatelle Table,

and a Superior assortment of Brewing Utensils, full 

particulars of which will appear in placards.
